What is the Vintage Bazaar?

The Vintage Bazaar is a blog about vintage home decor, fashion, DIY and selling vintage. It is also a roving flea market for the thrifty set, filled with reasonably priced vintage décor, furniture, clothing, and accessories. We pop up in big spaces and small storefronts every few months!

TVB was created and is executed by Katherine Raz (BackGarage.com) and Libby Alexander, The Vintage Bazaar had its first successful show at the DANK Haus in Chicago's Lincoln Square on Feb. 27, 2010. This debut featured over 40 vintage vendors, tamales, cupcakes, and German beer. It was attended by approximately 3,000 eager shoppers.

Our second event, took place on August 22, 2010 at Congress Theater and featured 63 vintage vendors, slices of fresh pie from Hoosier Mama Pie Company, and cocktails -- over 8,000 shoppers visited the second TVB. In November, 2010 we hosted a special mini-flea in a storefront over Black Friday weekend. This event was an upscale experiment that used vacant space and appealed over 1,200 holiday shoppers. Our last market in May, 2011 popped up in Pilsen and was a big success. Our most recent large market was a huge classic indoor/outdoor flea on September, 18 at Congress Theater.

And we just wrapped up our Holidazzle pop-up boutique the weekend of November 11 through 13 at 2133 N. Milwaukee. More info here
